On the Alsace Wine Route
The Wine Route is an open invitation to discover the region's mediaeval cities, including Eguisheim (added to the list of France's most beautiful villages in 2013), Kaysersberg, Riquewihr and its vintage wine trail, and UNESCO world heritage site Neuf-Brisach. At each stopover, pay a visit to Alsace's wine-growers, while visiting the typical villages and unmissable sites.
Colmar, Alsace's wine capital, is also an essential stopping point, especially for the Isenheim Altarpiece at the Unterlinden Museum.
Various types of wine are just waiting to be discovered during your journey, such as Riesling, Muscat, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Blanc, Noir or Gris, and Crémant... all of which to be consumed in moderation of course.
